DĂa de la Candelaria, also known as Candlemas, is a beloved Mexican holiday celebrated on February 2nd, marking the close of the Christmas season and commemorating the presentation of the Baby Jesus at the temple. A cherished tradition stems from Rosca de Reyes, the sweet bread enjoyed on Three Kings Day (January 6th): whoever finds the Baby Jesus figurine hidden inside is responsible for hosting a feast of tamales and atole on Candelaria. Families also lovingly dress their Niño Dios (Baby Jesus figurines) in elaborate outfits and take them to church for a special blessing, blending faith, family, and festivity in a uniquely Mexican way.DIA DE LA CANDELARIA -2 FEBRERO Â
